Responsibilities

• Execute application development deliverables and activities

• Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT Projects and to interface with various IT stakeholders such as 3rd party vendor suppliers, business analysts and project managers to perform development activities

• Conducting Peer code reviews

Requirements

• 5 plus year’s development experience and can demonstrate strong understanding of fundamentals of requirements specification, design, coding, and testing of information systems

• Programming experience in Microservices

• 5 years’ hands on experience in web application development on .NET platform using .NET Core, EF core, Angular, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, WCF, Entity Framework, SQL Server.

• Possesses good skillset in logical deduction in issue isolation and root cause analysis using various toolset e.g., Microsoft Sys internals Suite, F12 developer tools.

• Good working knowledge of Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes and Azure will be advantage

• Proven & demonstrable hands-on experience in developing high-availability, multi-tiered and secure web applications

• Proficient in developing automated unit test scripts.

• Experienced in using version control systems, TFS and Git.

• Experienced in deploying components and applications on windows environment – client and server based

Technical / Professional Skills

• .NET Core, Microservices, Angular, Docker and Unit Testing

Developer:

• Design the solution and develop the software using waterfall/Agile methodology.

• Perform investigation, troubleshoot issues by developing scripts, SQL queries.

• Work closely and collaborate with the Business Analysts and Quality Engineers/application testers for user stories elaboration, test automation, bug fixes etc.

• Work with deployment team/DevOps team on setting up continuous integration, build and release automation.

• Provide estimates for stories during sprint planning for Agile project.

• Convert acceptance criteria into automated unit tests cases.

• Support production issues and duty rotation for after-office-hours support

Tester:

• Develop and establish quality assurance deliverables and testing framework, including create and maintain test plans and test cases in accordance with changing requirements, throughout development. • Create and manage automated test framework whenever possible, such as prepare test environment, maintain functional testing script in accordance with changing requirements.

• Conduct system integration tests with other parties, validate the output and expected outcome e.g. data to and from other parties’ systems and feedback on improvement requirement.

• Conduct extensive manual functional /exploratory testing, including browser testing.

• Conduct performance and load tests, validate the output and expected outcomes and feedback on improvement required.

• Conduct application performance and security testing to ensure we have a robust and secured system in place.

• Conduct impact analysis of defect fixes discovered during manual or automated tests, validate completed stories pass the acceptance criteria, raising defects as needed and work with development team to improve the expected behaviour and test cases.

• Demonstrate the tested stories during Sprint Review and prepare production show case to show the completed stories tested.

• Preferably to have passed the ICT Assessment Certification for Software Developer conducted by NUS-ISS.

What we are looking for

• Good understanding and completion of projects using waterfall/Agile methodology.

• Demonstrable skills in Java, Dot Net, Python, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Mobile, Cloud or SSIS development

• Demonstrate knowledge of automated software testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, test driven development (TDD) and behaviour driven development (BDD).

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource to application stack traces.

Scope

• Assist the Security Operations Center to automate BAU and new processes (eg. Data enrichments from various sources, auto ticket creations, syncing of tickets across systems, etc).
• The work will require the developer to develop tools that integrates across different security devices using various methods, from interaction with APIs, screen scrapping to client GUI interactions, etc.
• The developer may be required to understand from basic scripting language of the various security tools in order to help with the script development.
