Most recently, Insignia Ventures Partners reached a first and final close for our third fund (US$516 million). As Legal and Compliance Counsel you will be working on Legal, Compliance and Operations.
About the Position
• Work closely with the General Counsel, external counsel and the investment team to structure, review, negotiate and close investments for primary investments, follow-on investments and divestments.
• Assist with fund formation and fund maintenance
• Overseeing and executing compliance matters, including regulatory returns, responses to queries from regulators and authorities.
• Review and maintain regulatory compliance and risk management policies and practices.
• Advise our portfolio companies in formulating their legal and compliance framework. • Other ad-hoc legal and compliance-related duties.
What we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in law or other equivalent qualification, ideally with approximately 1-2 years of private practice experience. No prior in-house experience is required.
• Experience in M&A and venture capital is a plus. Candidates with no venture capital experience will also be considered.
• Strong interest in venture capital, keen to work in a lean, fast-paced environment and develop technical and commercial skills.
• Strong communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa is a plus.
