Responsibilities:
• Overall Security Posture: Support and maintain APAC’s information security strategy and ensure it is aligned with Global security strategy based on Zero Trust
• Zero Trust Deployment Support: Lead and support Zero Trust deployment initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and security best practices, Possess a strong background in security with a focus on general high-level knowledge.
• Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement within existing security frameworks in APAC region. Perform APAC’s Information Security Risk Assessment in accordance with the Risk Register Policy and support information security risk assessments for APAC to determine the gaps to reach Zero Trust.
• Project Management: Effectively manage Zero Trust deployment projects, including planning, research, monitoring, and reporting.
• Technical Advisory: Provide expert technical guidance and advisory services to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making regarding Zero Trust implementation, although not responsible for implementation, must comprehend the technical aspects of security technology and planning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the APAC region to ensure seamless integration and alignment of Zero Trust initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of Zero Trust deployment processes, procedures, and best practices for reference and future optimization.

Additional General Responsibilities:
• Promote the use of ‘right-sized’ solutions for APAC, including Global Shared Information Security Services, to drive increased standardization and effective use of security resources.
• Promote an information security-conscious culture.
• Collaboratively work with APAC to develop and implement processes that meet Global information policy and standards.
• Support information security activities across APAC (align activities where possible, foster joint plans, etc.).
• Collaborate with APAC’s legal and compliance to ensure APAC is compliant with local information security laws and regulations.
• Support the efforts of APAC’s Security delivery resources to execute to expectations.
• Encourage the development of innovative ideas that solve root causes of identified problems.
• Build and develop cross functional relationships within APAC to engender support of security projects.
• Coordinate technical input and recommendations from GISS to APAC
• Work on global initiatives as part of working groups (e.g.: standards refresh, new technology discussion, etc.)

Key Responsibilities and Attributes :

Duties include providing support security infrastructure, which includes firewall, proxy, and remote access systems.
Investigation, documentation, and resolution of outages to critical business systems that may be caused by firewall, proxy, or remote access systems.
Escalation of issues to and tracking of progress in conjunction with Client engineering teams, vendors, or other technical resource teams.
Working incidents or projects beyond the scope of the level 2 team which may include scheduling multiple changes, software upgrades, or configuration activities to resolve.
Desired platforms/skills include:

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, tcpdump/pcap/wireshark experience, Check Point Secure Platform Pro & Gaia, Juniper SRX, Bluecoat Proxy, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Juniper SSL VPN appliances, Juniper Netscreen firewalls, Cisco ASA with AnyConnect client, Network routing with BGP, Linux/Unix experience preferred.
Also desired/emphasized is a strong analytical and quantitative capability with attention to detail ability to work in a demanding and environment, exhibiting a high degree of flexibility and ability to multi-task, seeking guidance where necessary, strong verbal and written skills are also desired.

Special Skills:
Specialists are required to analyse customer requirements to ensure all standards, policies and guidelines are upheld from the information security perspective and support routine compliance activities.
Eventually, specialists need to support technology improvements, such as new infrastructure install and hardware/software upgrades, and engineering support.

Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (MS Active Directory, Exchange, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers).

Python / PowerShell Scripting Language
Manage and support Storage systems, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management, configuration management, provisioning and zoning of new servers using SAN switches.
Analyse backup software performance accordingly to meet client needs and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures
Provide backup system data statistics to management.
Perform regular DR (Disaster Recovery) test plan of backup data restoration and storage replication availability.
Monitor usage and performance of storage and perform capacity planning for storage growth to management.
Manage storage and backup changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
Respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field such as computer engineering, computer networking, electrical engineering, or mathematics.
