Dimensional Control QA/QC Surveyor
Job Functions
To perform/ assure survey and dimensional quality control and quality assurance (QAQC) in accordance with the approved Inspection and Test Plans, Specifications, Standard and Procedures Key
Responsibilities
1. To ensure that all Dimensional Control Surveys scopes of work are performed in accordance with code, standards, and Procedures.
2. Review CONTRACTOR dimensional control survey method, data, native drawing, reports and associated documentation for quality control.
3. Ensure satisfactory survey quality records are progressively collated, indexed, filed, store and maintained.
4. Ensure that all CONTRACTOR Dimensional Control Survey equipment is maintained in good working order and is serviced and verified as valid calibrated prior to use.
5. To provide coaching, mentoring and support to the development of Dimensional Control Survey within project management team.
6. To ensure that the requirements of the Safety Management System are fully and effectively applied. 7. To ensure compliance and alignment of all CONTRACTOR activities & COMPANY HSSE policies.
8. Adopt a pro-active role in identifying technical and safety risks as well as improvements.
9. Identify and investigate causes of adverse performance and recommend appropriate corrective actions where necessary.
10. Ensure that solutions provided to resolve problems do not adversely affect safety, integrity or the commercial aspects of the asset/project.
11. Identify potential opportunities to demonstrate the application of innovative technology to enhance product deliverables.
12. Comprehensively review all pertinent CONTRACTOR documentation and ensure all key deliverables are achieved as scheduled and within parameters applied.
13. Active participation in pertinent Quality / Technical Audits as required.
14. The direction, control, monitoring, supervision and coordination of the Dimensional Control Survey activities in accordance with the Contract. Including cost control, estimating change and additional work scopes, reporting and forecasting progress.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum recognized Degree certificate in surveying or engineering related courses and possess a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in construction/fabrication of onshore/offshore oil and gas facilities and a minimum of five (5) years working experience in related discipline as QC/lead dimensional control surveyor.
Skills/ Competencies & Abilities
1. Familiar with the codes and industrial standards for dimensional control and fabrication tolerance. 2. Well verse with AutoCAD software application in 2D and 3D dimensional survey data processing, analysis, and best fit modelling.
3. Manage and resolve Quality issues within the Project Team and CONTRACTOR’s in an objective manner
