Position Overview:The Salon Manager is responsible for leading and managing salon operations, including customer service, staff performance, inventory, and financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management:Recruit, hire, train, and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists, estheticians, and receptionists.
Create staff schedules and manage shift coverage to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and set individual and team goals.
Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment to enhance team morale and productivity.
- Customer Service:Ensure all clients receive exceptional service and handle any customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
Implement strategies to improve client satisfaction and promote client loyalty.
Oversee salon cleanliness, ambiance, and customer comfort to create a welcoming environment.
- Operational Oversight:Monitor daily operations, including scheduling, workflow, and service delivery, to maximize efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, salon policies, and industry standards.
Manage salon inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Sales & Marketing:Drive salon revenue through upselling services, retail product sales, and special promotions.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Maintain a strong online presence by managing the salon's social media accounts and client reviews.
- Financial Management:Track daily financial performance, including service sales, retail sales, and expenses.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to meet revenue targets and manage budget effectively.
Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
- Training & Development:Conduct regular training sessions on customer service, new products, and salon procedures.
Stay updated on industry trends and provide staff with learning opportunities to improve skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in cosmetology or business management is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of >7 years of experience in salon management or a similar role.
- Skills:Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of salon software for scheduling, billing, and reporting.
Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and sales.
