Joseph Lopez LLP is currently recruiting Associates/ Senior Associates. The firm is a boutique dispute resolution firm that has built a solid reputation in High Court litigation and cross-border international commercial arbitration, providing a wide variety of legal services to clients, in particular in the shipping, commodities and cross-border international trade sector, construction & engineering sector, corporate/ commercial disputes sector and fraud recovery disputes sector.
In this role, you will become part of a tight-knit and dynamic team handling a diverse range of commercial, cross-border disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems
- Draft legal opinions, briefs, submissions, and letters to stakeholders
- Attend pre-trial conferences / procedural hearings
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
You will need:
- A law degree and between 8 - 10 years PQE.
- Strong academic credentials
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the team
- Well-rounded individual, outgoing personality, with a passion for advocacy
- High level of integrity and professional accountability
