Resident Technical Officer (Archi / C&S / M&E) for A&A project

At Palelai Buddhist Temple @ 49 Bedok Walk

- Duration: 2-year contract - Start work once structural works initiated (includes demolition)

- Commencement date : March 2025

Requirements:

• Approved Registered RTO Certificate.
• Registered as RTO with Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES)/BCA/ACES.
• Minimum Degree/Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Structural, Architectural and M&E.
• Experience with ERSS
• Able to fully understand architectural, structural and M&E drawings and contract documents in carrying out the works
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Be fully conversant with the current Building Control Act and Statutory Boards’ bylaws relevant to the works.
• Carry out daily inspection to ensure works are complying and progressing, inform Employer, Consultants, Site team and Contractor of non-compliance
• Carry out regular site checks on Contractor and ensure compliance to environmental, health and work safety as per MOM requirement
• Comply with all requirements concerning supervision of the contractor’s work, quality control of the works, prepare weekly and monthly site progress reports, assist Consultants to coordinate the various disciplines/trades and the latest information available for the works implementation, attend all site meetings and coordination meetings, and keep a proper documentation system.
• Supervise all testing and commissioning of the various installations and ensure its successful completion and safe operation
• Ensure the required standards of quality and accuracy are maintained for all works and are conformed to contract specifications, construction drawings, approved materials and mock-up, instructions and statutory requirements
• Check through all the architectural, structural and M&E drawings/ documents and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of works
• Be responsible for the supervision of all mechanical, ventilation & air-conditioning, electrical, sanitary and plumbing, lift installation, and fire protection on site.
