1. Description

KJ Optometrists is an established optical retail business with a focus on providing high-quality eye care services to our customers. We have a team of experienced optometrists who are dedicated to ensuring that our customers receive the best possible care. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our use of cutting-edge optical instruments to provide accurate and comprehensive eye exams.

2. Responsibilities

• Performing visual acuity tests and refraction exams
• Educating patients about proper eye care, habits, and the use of corrective lenses
• Prescribing existing and teaching new contact lens wearers
• Documenting and monitoring patient cases using a range of optical instruments
• Recommendation of optical frames and optical lenses
• Providing good customer service that builds strong relationships with patients

3. Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution (SP/NP)
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

5. Working Hours

• 10.30am to 8.30pm

6. Off Days

• 7-8 days off per month
• Leave: 9 days, +1 every year
• Off in-lieu on PH

7. Locations

• Paya Lebar/Orchard/Bukit Panjang

1. examining patients eyes and setting tests to determine the nature and extent of vision problems and abnormalities

2. assessing ocular health and visual function by measuring visual acuity and refractive error, and testing the function of visual pathways, visual fields, eye movements, freedom of vision and intraocular pressure, and performing other tests using special eye test equipment

3. detecting, diagnosing and managing eye disease, and prescribing medications for the treatment of eye disease

4. diagnosing eye movement disorders and defects of binocular function

5. prescribing lenses, contact lenses and low vision aids and checking suitability and comfort

6. advising on visual health matters such as contact lens care, vision care for the elderly, optics, visual ergonomics and occupational and industrial eye safety
