About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Relationship Manager to lead our Corporate Banking initiatives across Singapore and Southeast Asia. This is a leadership role that focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with both Korean corporate clients and local/regional companies, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate banking, with expertise in credit risk management, client portfolio oversight, and cross-border market engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage relationships with a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, including Korean companies and regional businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Lead strategic initiatives to expand the bank’s corporate client base by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Conduct credit assessment and risk analysis, ensuring compliance with the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes for new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, operations, and product specialists, to deliver seamless and comprehensive banking solutions tailored to client needs.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing high-quality financial and customer services to corporate clients.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote the bank's products and services to maximize revenue.
- Drive product innovation by working closely with clients to develop customized corporate banking solutions, including lending, cash management, trade finance, and treasury services.
- Monitor and manage overall client portfolio performance, proactively addressing potential credit and operational risks.
- Conduct financial research, credit spreading, and prepare detailed credit proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to ensure business competitiveness and compliance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior relationship managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, business performance analyses, and client presentations for senior management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate banking, with a focus on managing relationships with large corporate clients in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth, exceeding sales targets, and delivering exceptional client service.
- In-depth understanding of corporate banking products and services, including trade finance, cash management, and treasury solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior professionals.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Strong business development and marketing orientation with an ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the region.
- Proficiency in the Korean language is an advantage for communication with the Head Office and Korean clients.
- Strong market awareness and business acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the region.
