Job Description

• Conduct and review pricing tasks for P&C reinsurance business, including developing pricing models, data analysis, and setting pricing assumptions
• Interpret results effectively to support underwriters in pricing decisions.
• Perform statistical analyses, model, monitor, and analyze data to derive insights.
• Organize and verify complex data and documents, ensuring accuracy in computations.
• Participate in evaluating and reviewing proposed processes and systems.
• Maintain best practices in actuarial methodology within the business process.
• Continuously increase knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures to achieve business objectives.
• Collaborate with actuarial & finance colleagues to understand company operations, reserving, business goals, and actuarial methodologies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Other requirements

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent.
• Five or more years of experience in insurance/reinsurance pricing.
• Nearly or newly qualified actuary (per recognized actuarial body).
• Ability to create optimal procedures and guidelines for this new role.
• Ability to work effectively under high time pressure, especially during peak seasons.
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in business English.

• Responsibilities include pricing programs, analyzing terms & conditions, and reviewing treaty wordings for internal referral.
• Manage various operational tasks, including endorsements, data input, claims review, and account performance monitoring.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Other requirements

• Preferred minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in treaty underwriting.
• Good level of knowledge and experience in South East Asia and ANZ market as well as understanding of treaty pricing methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively under high time pressure, particularly during peak seasons.
• Good communication skills to convey information effectively.
• Proficiency in business English and Microsoft Office software products.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
