The person is report to a design engineer, he is assisting the engineer to complete the production drawings, to develop from concept to detailing.

The drawings are the main line of communication to our production foreman, welders, and quality department to fabricate all deck machinery.

Required Skill Sets

· Proficient in AutoCAD / Solidwork to develop fabrication drawings

· Degree, Diploma or equivalent education and experience (Engineering Graphics & Design Drafting, Engineering Technology, etc.)

· Understanding of fabrication/manufacturing process

· Drafting Standards, AWS Welding Symbols

· Must have basic computer skills. (Word, Excel, Record-keeping software, Outlook, etc.)

· Ability to organize and prioritize work load

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with Engineer to develop detail fabrication drawings

2. Work with Welding Supervisor to create weld maps for production

3. Manage and release drawings to the production foreman and ensure they have the latest revisions

4. Ability to read through and follow customer/project-related specifications/standards

5. Create bills of materials for drawings and purchasing ERP system

6. Hanlde multiple projects at one time and prioritize accordingly

7. Assemble final data books at the end of the project that encompass all project related documents

Technician

Job Description & Requirements:

1. Able to service Deck Machinery, such as Windlasses, Cranes, Davits, Hatch Covers etc. on ships and in our workshop,

2. Replacing hydraulic Hoses, fittings & piping,

3. Assemble, dismantle, service & repair of pumps, valves, gearboxes, hydr. cylinders, and other machinery parts inside the workshop and on-site

4. Assist with steel repairs on Grabs, Windlasses & other Deck Machinery

Attend afloat repairs on Deck Machinery & Cranes, locally and overseas

Engineering Design Activities
• Participate in project kick off, concept and design reviews and other project meetings as needed.
• Prepare design calculation / bill of material / drawings on assigned jobs.
• Participate in Crane/Structure Complete Checks and inter-discipline checks.
• Maintain knowledge of class rules.
• Produce technical manuals on request.
• Assisting Technical Sales Support when required.

Document Management
• Establish as-built and input regarding final documentation to project documentation engineer.
• Establish and distribute project documentation such as BOM, production log and component list etc.

Reporting Progress and Work Involvement
• Report to manager in the individual projects.
• Prepare progress report on work schedule.
• Preparation of test procedure and report in accordance to design requirement.
• Recommend and initiate corrective actions to meet project plan.
• Report non-conformances in QA System.

Others
• To execute key tasks/project assigned by Supervisor as and when.
