Job Descriptions:

Coordinate and responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of programmes and ensure smooth running of daily operations of the department, which includes:

• Outreach and engagement of seniors within service boundary
• Active ageing programme
• Befriending and Buddying
• Care and support services

To liaise with external agencies, organisations, donors, volunteers etc. to tap on external resources and / or publicise programmes. You will need to provide information and referral services to clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Programme Planning and Implementation

• Develop and implement outreach plan to seniors.
• Develop and implement annual calendar plan of social and health activities for seniors.
• Ensure that the programmes and activities meet the performance indicators and operating guidelines issued by Agency for Integrated Care, administration of the CSQ, half-yearly progress report on the programmes and services, outcome management, etc.
• Conduct needs assessment survey if necessary.
• Initiate a case record file for every elderly household in the identified block and capture the needs of the seniors.
• Establish and motivate seniors to be active, healthy, interdependent and purposeful.
• Ensure that the activities and programmes of the centre promote a community climate of multi-racial tolerance, harmony and cooperation among residents.
• Network with other agencies to establish additional avenues of help for the welfare of the seniors.

2. Alert Alarm System

• Oversee and manage the Alert Alarm System (AAS) during the centre’s operating hours, rendering assistance when necessary.
• Establish a system to manage the AAS outside operating hours and ensures that help continues to be available when needed, including a system of recalling staff outside operating hours.

3. Volunteer Development

• Establish networks with local community-based services/ resources, such as grassroots, social services, corporate organisations and schools, to engage volunteers to help run or assist in the programmes, start income-generating activities, conduct outreach efforts etc., to match the needs of seniors.
• Recruit, interview and screen potential volunteers.
• Provide and coordinate orientation of volunteers to their assigned role and the mission and objectives of the centre.
• Place volunteers to suitable positions and areas of need, such as administration of CSQ etc.
• Supervise and support volunteers.
• Establish a system of recognition for the volunteers.
• Review and evaluate the volunteer programme to ensure relevance and to meet future needs.
• Serve as the key communication link between the centre and its volunteers.

4. Finance and Accounts

• Manage the monthly petty cash utilization of the centre.
• Implement checks and controls in the accounting system to ensure proper accounting records and also to safeguard against misappropriation of the centre’s assets.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in social service or related discipline, with a social service background.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage construction and architectural activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications, drawings, and instructions.
-Supervise the structural construction in compliance with the Building Control Act and provide necessary assistance to the consultant.
-Familiarity with PPVC construction is advantageous.
-Fulfill all duties required of a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) as per BCA regulations.

Technical Skills & Competencies

-Thorough understanding of local (Singapore) regulatory standards, including Approved Documents, Accessibility Code, and FSSD requirements.
-Expert in technical detailing and drawing analysis.
-Project management proficiency.
-Knowledgeable in construction technology.

Job Role Requirements

-Minimum 2-3 years of local (Singapore) experience as a C&S / Architectural RTO.
-Possession of a valid RTO Certificate.
-Experience with HDB BTO projects.
-Registered with IES/ACES.
-Proficient in Autocad and IT systems.
-Able to work autonomously with a proactive attitude.
-Capacity to meet deadlines and manage tasks effectively.
-Responsible and reliable.

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic devices or systems.
• Conduct component-level repairs on printed circuit boards using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and similar equipment.
• Update, reset, and restore product software and systems as needed.
• Execute repair, troubleshooting, and upkeep tasks both in-house and occasionally on-site.
• Diagnose and resolve system and equipment issues on-site in various environments, such as indoor locations, outdoor areas, or vehicles.
• Participate in the setup, testing, and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Take on project responsibilities or other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Possess strong practical skills in electrical/electronic systems; experience with soldering is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Open to working beyond regular office hours and performing outdoor fieldwork when required.
• Holding a Class 2 or Class 3 driving license is advantageous.
• Preferably experienced in diagnosing and repairing industrial or electrical devices, automotive systems, or PCBA components at the component level.
• Holds an ITE or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering (or similar), with at least 1-2 years of field service experience.
• Candidates with a relevant degree or more than 5 years of experience in a similar role may qualify for senior positions.
