Key Responsibilities
- Lead AM materials development, manage projects involving multiple stakeholders. Use materials-process-performance research methods to investigate, solve, and deliver project objectives.
- Lead metal AM application and parts development projects including parts selection, design, prototyping and manufacturing
- Operation of metal AM machines and auxiliary equipment, including maintenance troubleshooting, and risk assessment
- Execute customer projects using AM materials and applications knowledge, to meet project deliverables and deadlines. Support in FEM simulation for DfAM.
- Provide technical support for addressing technical inquiries related to the development process, quality assurance, and analytical problems.
- Produce technical reports and presentations for AM project development
Job Requirements
- Masters/PhD in Engineering, Mechanical/Materials or equivalent
- 5-7 years of working experience with AM materials-process-performance characterization and analytical tools.
- Experience in LMD and/or L-PBF machine operations
- Proficient in 3D modelling and 2D drawing using Solidworks
- Experience in CAM and Siemens NX
- Experience in FEA/FEM
- Strong understanding of LMD process and materials, key process variables.
- Experience with parameters development, material characterization methods
- Experience with LMD machine operation
- Proficient in statistical tools like DOE
- Familiar with metal AM process chain
- Able to work independently and self-motivated
