SUMMARY:
The Human Resource (HR) Assistant / Executive will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of human resource activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a passion for HR practices. He/she will also be in charge of personnel management, social welfare and maintenance of important HR records.
This position is a full-time position and is based in Singapore.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including document preparation, filing, and data entry
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases
- Coordinate the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Assist in the onboarding process, including the preparation of new hire paperwork and orientation materials
- Manage new employees’ orientations, process probationary reviews, employee evaluations and terminations
- Address routine employee inquiries and grievances at work
- Provide support in resolving HR-related issues and implement corrective measures
- Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives and events
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
- Ensure adherence and compliance to HR policies, government laws and regulations
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees
- Assist in tracking employee tracking and development activities
- Prepare and process timely distribution of monthly payroll, increment salary slip, leave encashment and final settlements
- Engage employees and manage their social welfare (plan company events, activities on occasions, schedule training sessions)
- Perform any other duties or HR projects as assigned by management
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Keen attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in Human Resource Information System software is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion at all times
