Primary Duties:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Head of Marketing & Communications and other departments, ensuring clear communication and coordination of tasks.
- Take ownership of our Trello Board to organise and prioritise marketing demands, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of tasks.
- Manage social media platforms, including responding to inquiries, comments, and messages promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement a social media content calendar, focusing on bridging gaps between religious content and promotional efforts for religious programs.
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing & Communications to identify and leverage opportunities for engaging content and community outreach.
- Monitor social media analytics and track performance metrics to optimize engagement and reach.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing communications and social media management.
- Provide administrative support to the unit, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and managing email correspondence.
- Contribute creative ideas and insights to enhance the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
Secondary Duties:
- Promote and support innovative and creative ways to generate income including fundraising initiatives and external funding via grants and sponsorship to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the unit and projects
- Provide support in District-based activities and initiatives
- Provide support in mosque event’s operations and manpower requirements
- Provide support in the department’s collective initiatives, and implementations and recommend plans for improvement
Requirements
- Professional Certificate/Diploma in Marketing & Communications or a related field, or with 2-years of relevant working experience
- Possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and attention to detail
- Possess time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficiency in productivity tools such as Trello is an advantage.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe and/or creative writing skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and social media management tools.
- Passion for community engagement and promoting religious programs and initiatives
