As Programme Executive for Marriage and Family Development at Masjid Darul Ghufran, you'll be the driving force behind impactful initiatives that nurture family and marriage well-being. You'll engage deeply with the community, lead groundbreaking research, and streamline administrative processes to foster a supportive environment for families and couples.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Programme Development and Management
- You will design and implement innovative programmes that focus on the development and support of marriages and families within the community.
- Engaging with community leaders and stakeholders is crucial to identify needs and tailor the initiatives accordingly.
- You'll be responsible for preparing detailed reports to track the progress, outcomes, and areas for improvement of the programmes.
- Overseeing the budget for each program is essential to ensure efficient allocation of resources and alignment with the goals.
Community Engagement and Outreach
- Developing and sustaining partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups is key to promoting family well-being.
- You will organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and events aimed at educating and supporting families and couples.
- It's important to compile and analyze reports on engagement activities, gathering participant feedback to measure the impact of the outreach efforts.
- Financial management for engagement and outreach activities, including event budgeting, is a significant part of your role.
Research and Policy Development
- Conducting research to stay informed about the latest trends and issues affecting marriage and family health in the community is a vital duty.
- You will recommend policies and best practices to foster family stability and development based on your research findings.
- Producing comprehensive reports that summarize research outcomes, policy recommendations, and strategic insights is crucial for departmental and organizational planning.
- Ensuring that the budget for research and policy initiatives is used optimally to achieve meaningful and impactful outcomes is part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Family Studies, or related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and sensitivity to diverse experiences.
- Programme management skills including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in English and Malay to communicate effectively with our clients/congregants who are mostly English/Malay speakers.
Experience
- 2-3 years in relevant roles, with emphasis on marriage and family development programmes.
- Consideration of volunteer work, internships, or practicum experiences.
- Engagement in continuous professional development related to the field.
