As a Senior Equipment Engineer/Equipment Engineer in the NTI, you will be expected to support R&D activities associated with rapid deployment of First-of-Kind equipment, the CIP hardware evaluations and managing on the timeline needed to deploy in current technode/next advance technode on time. Job Description

As an Operation Central Team (OCT) CPEE ADT team member, you will be responsible in defining alignment and projects to meet goals for NPI nodes, collaborating with multi-functional teams across the globe related to Metals/Implant category – Metal thin film processes such as (not limited to) diffusion, physical vapor deposition and chemical vapor deposition and/or Implant processes. Collaborate with Technology Development and site Alpha technology Process and HVM team to improve Fab processes and equipment to meet technology node targets – such as yield ramp, cost goals, quality. Build strong relationship with internal and external stake holders to align on best practices and develop projects. Support implementation of continuous improvement efforts through process optimization, equipment performance, BKMs.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
As a process expert in Metals Process, create innovative process and equipment solutions to meet the needs of the technology as well as collaborate and develop on ideas originating form process development teams in Boise/ Japan/ Taiwan and Singapore

• Partner with Technology Development and Manufacturing fab for effective transfer, pilot ramp and ongoing development to achieve TECHNODE gate criteria. Play an active role in keeping priorities aligned with peers in TD and manufacturing fab
• Engage with Technology Development and High-Volume manufacturing and lead worldwide alignment efforts across technology to improve module effectiveness.
• Equipment Technology development – partner with TD/Fab/ Suppliers to develop and accelerate FOAK hardware maturity in support of TTMCY and product ramp goals to deliver benchmark equipment performance.
• Participate with Boise/Japan TD peers on equipment technology choices for upcoming nodes and have the ability to drive competitive pricing, machine matching and equipment technology roadmaps.
• Play an active consultant role on MOR, BAP, Doc2 related topics and new tool evaluation proposals.
• Engage with suppliers to develop the process and equipment needed to meet Micron’s technology roadmap.

Maximizes yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes. Troubleshoots wafer fabrication problems and performs root cause analysis. Works with other process areas to understand and control process deviations. Long-term investigation of defect issues may require extensive work with shift engineering and other functional areas. Evaluates products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. As Facilities Electrical Engineer in Semiconductor Manufacturing Plant, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of electrical infrastructure supporting critical semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment meet safety standards and comply with local & international regulations. This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates with background in electrical engineering or a related field.

• Oversee sophisticated electrical system, including Dynamic Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Sags Mitigation System. Have opportunities to work on extra-high voltage system.

• Manage new part type performance indices, analyse, identify and communicate opportunity for improvement to achieve Best-in-Class product cycle time.
• Optimize site inventory management through analytic methodology and education.
• Align business process, optimizing state-of-the-art scheduling logic, and setting up leading production report and indices.
• Apply manufacturing science concepts to line management and inventory scheduling
• Build analytical capability to improve NPI line efficiency through automation, interactive software/ interface, and innovative products
• Having additional knowledge/experiences in supply chain, data analytic, and coding (especially phyton) is a bonus point.

• Lead/Support the spare management improvement activities with multi-functional groups such as TD, MFG, GP and internal OCT teams to meet Global Operation’s Strategies Programs - Cost/Scale/Quality/Cycle Time (Speed) goal
• Provide technical consulting and hands-on assistance to Fab area teams to create and/or identify the best solutions, solve existing solutions, and deploy new solutions.
• Promote worldwide sharing and transfer of area-specific domain knowledge
• Lead or drive standardization between sites regarding spare management issue, reports, and systems through the System Workforce Allocation Team (SWAT) or other appropriate means.
• Monitor and communicate progress to collaborators
• Maintain program support through interaction with senior leaders

Preferred:

• Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and packaging technologies, device physics, quality and reliability fundamentals
• Good knowledge of SSD quality related items such as SSD test, production, IQC, RDT, QPA,
• SSD production troubleshooting and failure analysis experience
• Good project management
• Customer facing experience and SSD production process experience are preferred
• A high degree of shown self-initiative and ability to think and act independently
