The role sits within the Compliance Section, and reports to the Section Head of Compliance. We are seeking for a member to join the team that manages the Bank’s Compliance Action Program, as well as Head Office requirements and reporting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
On a day to day basis, you will be expected to:

• Assist in planning, administer and executing the Bank’s Compliance programs, such as trainings and compliance reviews and checks;
• Responsible for processing and reviewing the applications made under the Bank’s Compliance programs (e.g. entertainment and gift application, reward expenses, etc.) in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide general guidance to internal stakeholders on matters/ issues relating to the Compliance programs or procedures.
• Co-ordinate and conduct email audit as well as any other such controls as may be required under the Information Control framework.
• Monitor and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders on compliance matters, such as Head Office and Internal Operation Procedures, Head Office Bulletin Board circulars, to ensure Singapore Branch’s compliances with applicable Head Office requirements.
• Assist in liaising with stakeholders and collating requisite information/data in response to inspection or queries, information requests, questionnaires, surveys, perform reporting, etc as may be required by Head Office and/or Regional Compliance Office.
• Undertake, participate and/or collaborate with other stakeholders on ad-hoc compliance related projects.
• Be part of Compliance Committee Meetings, Compliance Forum or any other committees, taskforces, working groups, forums or dialogue sessions as part and parcel of the Bank’s overall compliance and monitoring framework

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields
• 2-3 years of experience in related roles.
• Able to work meticulously and be able to exercise judgement between working independently to meeting tight deadlines, and being a team player when the situation calls upon.
• Possess effective writing and comprehension skills.

Managing Director, Asia-Pacific Department

Our Asia-Pacific Department covers more than thirty offices across fourteen countries in the Asia-Pacific region. We are responsible for setting up a business strategy and a business plan for the Asia-Pacific region, which includes the conduct of profit management and administrative operations for the branches, subsidiaries and affiliates under the Global Corporate & Investment Banking Division in the Asia-Pacific region (“the Branches”). In addition, we oversee the legal regulations and compliance matters of the Branches and ensure that we comply with the local regulator of each country that we operate in. Vice President, Asia-Pacific Department

Your key roles & responsibilities include:

· Supporting and coordinating overseas offices of Asia-Pacific in the business area of Japanese and Non-Japanese Corporate Banking.

· Communicating with offices in this region, other overseas regions and Japan for the promotion of the Japanese and Non-Japanese Corporate Banking business.

· Promoting the business to help the Branches achieve their targets.

· Preparing and submitting reports to managements in Asia-Pacific and Japan (Head office) in both English and Japanese language.

What you should have:

· A Bachelor's degree.

· At least 11 years of experience in banking industry and corporate finance.

· Strong understanding of a wide range of banking products such as corporate loans and transaction banking products is required.

· The ability to work in a team as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are attributes which will help the candidate perform well in this role.

· Business-level proficiency in both the English and Japanese languages as you are required to communicate, read and understand as well as respond and present in these two languages to managements in Asia-Pacific and Japan (Head office).

Asia & Oceania Treasury Department

Your key roles & responsibilities include:

· Support AOTD in activities relating to planning, operational, administrative, regulatory and compliance matters.

· Co-ordinate and liaise with various internal and external counterparties on regulatory, compliance and administrative matter.

· Take on ad-hoc projects on the business as required. Work well independently and as team member.

· Contribute ideas and strategies to improve market business and collaborate with related departments.

What you should have:

· Degree holder with at least five years of experience in banking industry and preferably familiar with various procedures and operation of banks.

Your key roles & responsibilities include:

• In charge of operation planning and management in Asia regions
• Promote and lead the project to implement new Global Core Banking Systems to branches in Asia from business side and ISO20022PJ.
• Promote business consignment to outsourcing subsidiary in India to adapt to enlarge the capacity and low cost operation.
• Establish a plan to develop core operation member in Asia regions and promote the education.
• Lead the Provide solution to branches in order to improve operational efficiency.
• Preparing and presenting management including board members in both English and Japanese language.

What you should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in back office operations or operational risk management required.
• At least 10 years of experience in banking and an intimate knowledge of banking operations and systems infrastructure.
• Prior experience of operations planning, IT systems planning and control, in a managerial /leadership position in financial institution will be advantageous.
• Expertise in analysis of banking operation processes and operational errors, creation of banking operation procedure and planning of business continuity management will be strongly encouraged.
• Experience in system integration and deployment in Asian countries will be advantageous.

• Willing to travel for business trips to branch offices on demand basis.
