Job Description:

• Primarily responsible for the Transaction Banking business of Non-Japanese clients in Singapore, including in-bound Asian, EU & US MNC
• Contribute to the Bank’s, the Units business performance by achieving the Asia Pacific & individual country profit targets as laid down by GCC & GPU.
• Achieve individual KPI’s as laid down by GTBD management.
• Promote transaction banking business to capture and increase Cash, Trade & Transactional FX flows in cooperation with branches in the Asia Pacific, U.S. and Europe
• Promote the business by supporting GRM offices, in-country GTB team and other departments. Supporting activities are including marketing, business planning, sales, development, implementation and training.
• Support RM Offices, in-country GTB team and other Departments in Marketing & Sales, Solution Providing, Coordination, Create Proposals, Response to RFP, Presentation, Documentation, Performance Monitoring, etc.
• Address target customer’s transaction banking service requirements by supporting RM Offices and Departments to develop local services & products.
• Make business plans for the Department to maximize its performance.
• Ensure routine tasks (HR, Reporting, Team administrations, etc.) are completed properly and in a timely manner.
• Make periodical and timely reports to the Management about the Department operation.
• Conduct duties and responsibilities from the compliance standpoint
• Conduct other ad-hoc duties required by the SH and the Management.


Job Requirements:
• 12-15 years of Transaction Banking experience with at least 10 years of Trade/Cash sales knowledge
• Good commercialization experience and has experience working with local and MNC clients
• Relevant graduate, post graduate degree
• Ability to work in a matrix organization including using influencing skill to drive business
• Bias for action and ability to get things done; Perseverant, Analytical and ability to manage ambiguity.

The incumbent will be responsible for driving the sales of Structured Trade Products as well as sector solutions in the regions. The incumbent will work very closely with Sector Bankers in AOCB to create sector specific solutions and be responsible for selling them to the clients. This role is pivotal to growing and managing the sector solutions and structured Trade Products in the region. The incumbent will work with the Sector Bankers as well as the RMs across Asia Oceania to understand the key client needs and market development and create solutions to cater to client needs. The incumbent will be responsible structuring, selling and implementing the solutions as well as replicating the solutions to other clients in the same sector. The incumbent will also work with internal stakeholder like Legal team, Compliance team, Credit Risk team, Trade Product Management team and GTBD Desk in countries to ensure that the solutions is fit for purpose and that the risks are well mitigated and that we have a competitive positioning that allows us to grow the business.

Job Description
1) Responsible for the strategy and execution of Sector Solutions and Structured Trade across the Asia & Oceania region.
2) Responsible to ensure there are good sector specific solutions available that can be marketed to our clients. Regular interaction with Sector Bankers and RMs to ensure that the Structured Trade products and sector solutions are well understood and the Sector Bankers and RMs and are able market these solutions and grow the business.
3) Responsible for understanding the evolving sector specific needs and market changes and aligning and building sector solutions. Responsible for joining the sector bankers calls to understand the client needs, deal pipeline and explaining and ensuring that Transaction Banking value proposition for the sector is understood and being used by sector bankers and RM in client discussions
4) Responsible for ensuring that the Sector Solutions are Fit for Purpose and seamlessly working with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk, Treasury and Trade Product Development team towards this. Responsible for maintaining the competitive positioning of the products
5) Responsible for growing the Sector P&L through active commercialization of Sector Solutions. Responsible for the Structured Trade Product Profits including that RoRA thresholds are being met.
6) Work with FX and Cash teams to ensure cross-sell of FX and Cash along with Trade through product bundling and structuring.
7) Responsible to communicating and explaining the sector success stories so that the deals are replicated with other clients and also in other sectors as applicable.
8) Support and participate in pitching , structuring and execution of a transaction/ deal. Complete end to end responsibility along with preview , review and approvals with internal memos & credit application AND external transactional and legal documents. Embed quality, accuracy, details in Client’s touchpoints like power points, RFP, Proposals and Pitches
9) Assist Product Management / TB Middle Office in various fields like product approvals, product controls and governance and product life-cycle management.
10) Monitor changes in Industry, Trading environment, Client needs to spot Risks in the portfolio and Identify new Opportunities.

Job Requirements:

1) 10+ years of relevant trade finance and structuring solutions in various Industries and Sectors.
2) Structuring and Transaction experience with strong working knowledge of corporate credit, regulations in ASEAN and SE Asia countries for cross border trade and associated legal risk
3) Capability to command a high degree of credibility with the Client Management, TB Sales teams, Credit and Legal team
4) Ability to thrive while managing multiple workstreams, deals and transactions
5) Managerial experience is not essential but is a plus.
