We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join us as Artist & Music Development Manager. The Artist & Music Development Manager will be responsible for leading and executing strategies to grow and develop artists and music within the rapidly evolving Chinese music market within Singapore.
This position requires a combination of creative talent management, strategic market insight, and business acumen. The role involves building relationships with artists, music industry stakeholders, and partners, while driving initiatives to maximize the commercial success of both local and international music.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage artist portfolios while work closely to guide them on their career growth and development plan.
- Develop strategies with teams to promote the artists exposure in the market through audience engagement, digital platforms and promotional activities.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, while analyse the taste and preference of consumers in order to identify key opportunities and develop strategies for artists.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners to promote the artist in different platforms in order to gain exposure and recognition.
- Design and execute marketing strategies through promotional campaigns to help artist build online presence, while organiser and promote events to generate buzz around new release from the artist.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams for artists and working with licensing teams to explore opportunities for placements in other media platforms, while develop drive music sales and streaming growth through strategic campaign and platform optimization.
- Ensure that all music distribution and promotional activities adhere to regulations and cultural sensitivities while work closely with legal teams to handle artist contracts, rights management, and intellectual property concerns.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the music industry, with a strong focus on artist development, music promotion, or music business management, particularly in Chinese music. Strong network within Chinese music industry will be an added value.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, fluent in both Mandarin and English.
- Passion for music and the entertainment industry, with a deep interest in Chinese culture and market trends.
- Experience in working with local Chinese artists and music talents, with knowledge in music licensing, distribution and intellectual property rights preferred.
- Experience in managing and building relationships with local media, influencers, and brands.
- Ability to think strategically, being creative and able to adapt strategies to market the artist in unique ways.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural, and dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to artist and project management.
