Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you are responsible for supporting and executing the setup of the Packaging operations. Safety & compliance

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a technician, you will join one of the teams who manufacture our medicines. The environment that these teams work in is a clean room environment doing filling of sterile vials. • Perform routine QC sampling and in-process testing of the product at various stages throughout manufacturing i.e bioburden sampling, water sampling.

• Perform filter integrity testing using an automatic filter integrity test unit.

The PTO Lead Process Engineer leads new product introductions and the transfer of drug products to other facilities of moderate/high complexity independently and is a coach for his/her colleagues on the commercialization and manufacture of all drug products. He/ she typically will assume the responsibilities of a technical product steward and leads/supports all technical/ process activities (for example) investigations, validation and qualification processes, risk assessments and process safety management activities under his/ her responsibilities. WHAT YOU WILL DO

MAIN RESPONSBILITIES

• Leads new product introductions to the site by conducting process and equipment comparisons, new raw materials introduction, development studies, clinical supplies manufacturing, cleaning processes development/ validation and training of technicians as required. Identifies and implements strategies for PPQ matrixing, novel technologies and new products etc. Authors PPQ protocols, reports and other associated documentation related to a new product introduction. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in technical writing for investigations, change request, PPQ reports and CMC sections.

• Proactively identify solutions independently to address issues that arose during experiment/ evaluation

• Provides technical expertise related to the product, equipment and manufacturing/cleaning processes in response to deviations/ product complaints/ adverse events to identify point of occurrence, root cause and corrective/ preventative actions. Demonstrates ability to lead and resolve complex technical issues and investigations and resolve with minimal supervision.
• Provides technical expertise for compliance activities such as audit and regulatory support. Acts as primary regulatory representative with business partners and regulatory agencies for moderately complex products/ programs/ issues.
• Manages product portfolio activities and is expected to manage a project team for activities associated with the product portfolio. Examples (but not limited to) include managing documentation updates (e.g. SOPs, batchsheets, recipes), quality risk assessments, change control management/ filing support (if applicable) and validation activities such as equipment qualification, simple process validation and cleaning validation/monitoring activities. · Execute maintenance, improvement, DPI maintenance activities, ensure preventative maintenance is completed according to schedule requirements, and support equipment change control implementations.

· Utilize technical skills to lead equipment and Utilities system deviation/atypical investigations, safety incidents and ensure effective root cause analysis is conducted.

· Provide solutions to recurring failures by performing RCA and identifying corrective action.

· Implement technical solutions to improve equipment uptime and asset utilization through use of Continuous Improvement mindset (Lean methodologies).

· Responsible for improving the reliability of DPI equipment and maintenance processes by applying the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance.

Corrective Maintenance

· Ensure resolution and timely follow-up of identified production equipment and facility related equipment issues, unplanned events, and new opportunities identified by Maintenance team.

· Provide technical expertise and support the Maintenance Technicians for equipment breakdown, troubleshooting and recovery to ensure the timely and effective resolution of issues.

· Ensure equipment breakdowns are resolved in a timely manner and update the Preventive Maintenance Plan.

· Apply effective root cause analysis and troubleshooting Techniques to support the resolution of equipment-related incident and deviation/atypical investigation.

Preventive Maintenance

· Ensure all planned internal and external Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities are executed and completed.

· Update equipment critical spare part list and set minimum re-order levels.

· Review existing maintenance RAs promptly and to develop new one when necessary.

Compliance – Safety

· Participate in and support the implementation of actions for Incident Investigations and Audits

· Ensure required risk assessments, including HAZOPS, are carried out in a timely manner, recommendations provided, and implemented as agreed.

· Ensure permit requirements met IPT maintenance activities.

• Proactively review and challenge current activities to reduce safety risk for employees and quality risks for company’s products.

Compliance – Quality & Change control

· Prepare SOPs and Job Aids to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ensure PM related documents are generated and maintained according to required standards and frequency.

· Ensure all deviations/atypical and customer complaints are fully investigated with any equipment related actions effectively implemented within the agreed time frame to continually improve processes, prevent waste, and eliminate rework.

· Ensure all out-of-tolerance equipment findings are appropriately documented and investigated in a timely manner.

· Support implementation of Equipment change by participating in impact assessments and executing field equipment modifications, including management of project schedules, resource plans, vendor coordination, and material purchases.

· Prepare and complete IQ, OQ documentation and ensure that documentation meets required regulatory standards.

Equipment reliability

· Utilize Lean Six Sigma Tools, such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, SMED, and 5S, to support execution of continuous improvement and OE projects intended to increase agility, flow and throughput, and also to reduce cycle time and inventory.

· Support development of a continuous improvement framework within the maintenance group and works with the Maintenance Lead to identify opportunities.

· Lead plant improvement processes to enhance availability, reliability, cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the plant.

· Collect and analyze data and follow up with recommendation to improve equipment’s reliability and reduce equipment failures. Work with COE’s to execute a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) plan and to share best practices and lessons learned, with objective of improving asset utilization.

· Participate in equipment/system-based Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and update equipment reliability plans.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering
• 3-5 years of maintenance work experience in Pharmaceutical (Preferred), Chemical, Semiconductor, aviation, oil & gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge and experience working within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
