Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Operations to lead and oversee the operations of our egg and quail Production facilities in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of pullet farm, layer farm, quail farm, egg grading house, egg processing plant and quail slaughterhouse, including warehousing, and the development of value-added egg products. This role demands a strong focus on productivity, biosecurity, regulatory compliance, and employee training while maintaining the highest processing standards. This position requires on-site working at the farm in Lim Chu Kang.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Oversee egg production and quail production and related products to maximize yield and maintain consistent productivity.
- Implement and monitor breeding, feeding, and housing programs to optimize bird health and egg quality.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Biosecurity & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce stringent biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks and ensure bird welfare.
- Ensure farm operations meet local and international biosecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance with relevant authorities.
- Egg Grading & Processing:
- Supervise egg grading operations to meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Oversee value-added product development and processing, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to explore new product opportunities and improve existing processes.
- Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead and manage farm workers, supervisors, and operational teams to achieve performance goals.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff, focusing on best practices in poultry farming and egg processing.
- Drive culture and core value implementation from Betagro Group within the local production team.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to meet production, quality, and financial targets in alignment with Betagro Group practices and standards.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of direct experience in layers and poultry production, including supervisory or management roles.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Thai is required for effective communication with headquarters in Thailand.
- Education: A degree in veterinary medicine, animal science, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
- Expertise: Proven track record in managing large-scale egg production and processing facilities.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of biosecurity standards, poultry health, and nutrition.
- Familiarity with modern egg grading and value-added product technologies.
