We are currently recruiting an Assistant Manager to join the Research Achievements, Impact and Strategic Enhancement (RAISE) Unit at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine).

The Research Achievements, Impact and Strategic Enhancement (RAISE) Unit is a relatively new unit that is established to develop strategies to enhance the research impact, visibility and reputation of the school institutionally, nationally and internationally. It sits within the ambit of the LKCMedicine Research Administration and Support Services Department under the Vice Dean of Research Office. You will be part of a dynamic and trailblazing team at the vanguard of highlighting and reporting on the school’s research impact and achievements. You will also work with other departments including the School Faculty, Finance, Office of Innovation and Enterprise (OIE) and Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN).

Responsibilities:

• Organize and staff research programme meetings including minutes writing
• Liaise and work closely with research programme directors to consolidate the research achievements of each programme for reporting to the School Management, Governing Board and Board of Trustees
• To produce PowerPoint slide decks for high-level corporate presentations, reporting purposes and school-wide communications
• To assist the RAISE Unit in the production of materials for visual communication, including report figures and infographics for presentations and reports
• To consolidate updates and information received by the RAISE Unit such as media releases/publicity, publication updates from Faculty, awards and achievements from Faculty
• Assist with the preparation of Dean’s Management Report (quarterly) and the school annual report
• Monitor and track the budget expenditure of internally funded grants and work together with Principal Investigators / Programme Directors to facilitate budget phasing and expenditure when necessary
• Assist to coordinate the annual budget exercise for research division working closely with different stakeholders to ensure budget marksmanship
• Manage the school internal grants which includes post grant operations such as account creation, budget loading, account closure
• Any ad-hoc tasks where required

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Sciences, Business Administration, Media, Arts and Design
• Preferably more than 5 years of related working experience in academic / research / healthcare industry
• Experience in designing visuals, infographics, creating professional and attractive powerpoint slides for management
• Experience in minutes writing and generating minutes in a short time frame
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially MS Powerpoint, MS Excel
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or related software
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Meticulous, positive attitude, able to multi-task, and work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Resourceful, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop new ideas and provide conceptual solutions

This is a 2 years contract appointment.

The Manager will work closely with the LKCMedicine IT to support the running of the various cybersecurity programmes and raising the cyber resilience of LKCMedicine IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures are practiced
• Liaise with auditors and ensuring compliance with regulations and relevant policies and standards
• Conduct risk analyses and maturity assessments for LKCMedicine IT systems, coordinate and execute penetration tests, perform security review for new and existing projects or major enhancements
• Handle and complete various cybersecurity projects with minimal supervision and able to articulate important cybersecurity concepts to senior management
• Provide timely support of major security incidents or data breaches, plan and participating in cyber security incident tabletop exercises.
• Technology enhancement and explore new security in the cloud

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• At least 5 years of IT related working experience with at least 3 years in IT/Cyber Security Domain practices
• CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) certification is an advantage
• Relevant security assessment certifications such as OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), Crest CRT (CREST Registered Penetration Tester) will be beneficial
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding and working experience in Cyber Security management and ability to work with cross-functional teams to enforce security policies and standards.
• Experience in implementing security controls, and mitigating measures on enterprise security solutions

NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is a leading medical school at the forefront of medical research and education. The Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN) is a new unit to deepen LKCMedicine’s patient & public partnerships in medical research and education. You will be part of a dynamic team to embed Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) into the School’s programmes and foster partnerships with patient advocates, patient organisations and other stakeholders in the patient engagement eco-system.

As the Assistant Manager, Patient and Public Engagement, you will be part of the team to grow patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) for medical research and education. You will also be developing strong partnerships with patients, patient organisations, researcher and educators and organise events to build capability. To bring patient voices into medical research and education, we are looking for a dynamic individual who has a strong interest in patient and community engagement, enjoys engaging with people to improve healthcare and has excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee assigned PPIE projects in research and education, by building relationships with all stakeholders, providing PPIE support to the research/education team, preparing patients/public and researchers for engagement, and working with the team to monitor progress and measure impact of this work.
• Engage with existing and new patient advocates and patient/community organisations to be involved in PPIE initiatives at the school.
• Organise PPIE meetings, workshops and events.
• Manage and implement administrative systems and processes for sustainability of PPIE in the school.
• Support the production of communication materials (eg. EDMs, newsletter, video, social media content) on the School’s PPIE projects for outreach to patient advocates and patient/community organisations and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree from an accredited university
• Possess at least 4 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in health promotion/patient experience/communications and advocacy/outreach and partnership in healthcare/social care/community care settings.
• Experience in organising events and workshops is advantageous
• Experience in Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) and working with patient organisations is advantageous

This role is responsible in developing Learning and Development approaches to build Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) organizational and workforce capability. This includes, but not limited to, conducting data analysis, generate insights, and propose recommendations to complement L&D strategies, programmes, and processes to drive a high performing culture in LKCMedicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support and administration on Learning Needs and collaborate with stakeholders and People Managers from departments to identify, assess and collate to meet the learning objectives of Management and Support Officer (MSO) employees.
• Plan and organize in-house training programs and evaluate course feedback for areas of improvement.
• Develop and manage a calendar of activities to ensure that the programmes/initiatives relating to learning are rolled out in a timely manner.
• Source and propose training vendors to conduct in-house programs that are aligned to learning needs.
• Provide key administrative support for procurement of services of training providers and materials (including preparation & submission of ITQ’s as well as vendor evaluation).
• Liaise with training providers to ensure that courses and workshops are well planned and organized.

• Manage a data services portfolio and associated projects by aligning to the IT strategy
• Identify opportunities for optimization, redesign, or process improvement of data services
• Monitor system health and performance based on key metrics to detect potential issues that may affect the user experience of data services

• Working knowledge of database technologies (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and agile project methodology
• Proven collaboration and communication skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure, independently and in teams
• Working knowledge or certification in visualization tools (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI) and data pipeline tools (eg Denodo, Snowflake) will be an advantage
