The Business Development Director is responsible for driving growth and expanding the company’s market presence by identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities. This role involves a mix of strategic planning, sales, relationship management, and market analysis to achieve revenue and growth objectives. The Business Development Director acts as a key link between the organization and its clients or partners, ensuring mutual success.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification & Market Expansion
- Research and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow new client segments.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve revenue targets by driving sales initiatives and acquiring new clients.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
Client & Partner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
Strategic Planning
- Work with senior management to create plans to achieve targets and track KPI progress.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, outcomes, and insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
- Provide input on product or service improvements based on client feedback and market demands.

Qualifications

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Candidates with any industry-specific knowledge would be preferred.
Working Conditions
This role may involve a combination of office work, client visits, and attendance at networking events or trade shows. Some travel and flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules.
