Role Overview:
As the Associate Director for Supply Chain Technology, you will serve as a key deputy to the Director of Technology and Innovation, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for our supply chain technology initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of WMS, TMS, and other critical systems, and driving continuous improvement to optimize performance and efficiency. In addition, you will collaborate closely with cross- functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that support the digital transformation of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams within the Department to implement and maintain supply chain technology solutions, including WMS, TMS and other relevant systems and guiding them towards the organization’s target operating model for connected technologies.
- Mentor and manage team members, ensuring that they are aligned with strategic objectives and equipped to support an integrated supply chain technology ecosystem.
- Develop and communicate a comprehensive technology roadmap for all supply chain technology systems, identifying and prioritizing initiatives to meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
Operational Excellence and Governance
- Serve as a strategic partner to operations leaders, establishing a robust governance framework for change requests and aligning them with the unified supply chain technology strategy.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that change requests are managed effectively within the unified system, supporting alignment across WMS, TMS, and related applications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
Connected Technology Oversight
- Lead efforts to enhance connectivity across all supply chain technologies, facilitating integration between WMS, TMS, and other critical systems.
- Partner with development teams to drive enhancements and application changes, ensuring that technology solutions evolve in line with operational needs and strategic goals.
- Guide initiatives that improve interoperability between systems, leveraging connected technology to streamline workflows across the supply chain.
Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all supply chain technology systems, representing the product function in executive and cross-functional meetings.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, training, and alignment for new system capabilities, driving consistent adoption and effective use across the organization.
Qualifications:
Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching and mentoring teams; ready to take on expanded responsibilities whenever required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- A strategic mindset with the agility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Professional Experience:
- 9+ years of experience in product management or leadership roles in related supply chain technologies, with demonstrated success in managing complex system implementations.
- Proven track record in driving product strategy, managing end-to-end product lifecycles, and leading cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with experience developing optimized queries and using analytics to inform product decisions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Transport Management and warehouse management platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and various key features, solutions to derive key business value is highly preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Product Management or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
