This position is for Chef De Partie cum Demi Chef for our restaurant Caviar.
Caviar is a fine-dining restaurant at Palais Renaissance on Orchard Road, serving modern-European cuisine. We have a small team giving their best everyday to make sure our guests have a great experience each time they dine at our restaurant.
Your general duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform daily kitchen duties instructed by Head Chef or Directors, including preparation work, cooking, cleaning, and any other duties as required in the kitchen.
- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Ensure Operations SOP are always followed, and security procedures are in place.
- Ensure consistency and high quality of restaurant food quality standards.
- Maintain and keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Comply to safe and hygienic food handling procedures.
- Ensure all fire safety and health regulations regarding food preparation and serving is adhered to on a constant basis.
- Perform any other ah-hoc duties as required/instructed by the Head Chef.
Requirement
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- A high standard of personal hygiene
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Able to commit to restaurant's peak period including weekends, eve of and public holidays
- Experience in Pastry would be highly advantageous
