The job purpose of a business executive is to orchestrate seamless event experiences and nurturing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role plays a pivotal part in conceptualising, planning, and executing events while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The primary goal is to enhance brand reputation, drive customer loyalty, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation's events.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Event Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events, including conferences, seminars, product launches, and corporate gatherings. Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and on-site coordination.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, managing expectations, and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the event lifecycle.
- Customer Engagement: Develop strategies to engage and delight customers before, during, and after events. Implement creative solutions to enhance attendee experience, encourage participation, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Sales and Marketing Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote events, attract attendees, and generate leads. Contribute to the development of event marketing materials, such as invitations, promotional emails, and social media posts.
- Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are within allocated resources and objectives. Monitor financial performance, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Identify and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Ensure timely delivery of services, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from attendees, clients, and stakeholders to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement. Analyse metrics such as attendee satisfaction, engagement levels, and return on investment to inform future event strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Additional certifications or qualifications in event management or customer relations are advantageous.
- Proven experience of ideally 3-5 years of experience in a business executive or managerial role, with a proven track record in event planning, customer relations, or related areas. Demonstrated success in driving business growth, managing client relationships, and executing strategic initiatives.
