We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trader to drive the development and build our Fixed Income desk in Singapore. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills, market expertise, and risk management abilities to identify trading opportunities in global fixed income markets. You will work closely with quants, developers, and fellow traders to optimize strategies and ensure the seamless execution of trades.

What You'll Do

• Develop, execute, and manage trading strategies in fixed income markets, focusing on interest rate derivatives, government bonds, and related products.
• Analyze market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and quantitative data to identify trading opportunities.
• Collaborate with quant researchers and engineers to design and improve pricing models, trading algorithms, and risk management tools.
• Monitor and manage risk exposure in real time, ensuring compliance with Optiver's risk framework and regulatory requirements.

Who You Are

• A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in trading fixed income products, with a strong understanding of interest rate markets, yield curves, and pricing dynamics.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Market Risk Analyst to join the growing team at Optiver Singapore. To keep us at the forefront of an ever-changing trading environment, you’ll create and improve our current risk framework and monitoring tools. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Market Risk Analyst, you will:

• Analyse market risks of our trading positions in all relevant markets & asset classes
• Build out the existing market risk management governance and control framework
• Advise on limit requests, policies and methodologies around our trading strategies
• Be involved in risk projects that strengthen our risk position, whilst involving multiple stakeholders across the organization
• Work with our software engineering teams to improve our risk systems and support new business

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• At least 3 years of experience in a risk, quantitative trading/research or related role
• An adept communicator
• Have good planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
• Have a natural curiosity
• Proactive by nature and can work autonomously
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment
• Have a practical mindset with the ability to remain calm in a crisis
• Experience with coding (VBA, Python, Matlab or other) is a plus
