Job Description

• Distribution and/or Product related matters for the Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) - Insurance
• Legal advice for the sale and distribution of WPB Insurance products through third party channels - review and negotiation of distribution and partnership agreements and company's risk framework relating to the engagement of third party distributors
• Product work will involve preparation of standard documentation for new products and reviewing/amending on-the-shelf products as required, product governance discussions to assess legal, reputational and conduct risks and in respect of more complex products, considerations of customer/sales suitability

The Successful Applicant

• Qualified Lawyer with minimum 7 years post qualification experience
• Strong drafting skills, experience with commercial transactions, documentation- advising on legal issues relating to confidentiality, data privacy, competition law, etc will be preferred
• Good understanding of insurance law and regulations in Singapore is preferred

Job Description

• Assist with monthly financial close and reporting for Singapore entities
• Assist in the preparation of periodic accounting entries, payments and reconciliations
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support intercompany activities
• Assist in the preparation of financial information for external audits and correspond directly with external auditors to provide requested schedules and support
• Support and ensure compliance with all statutory finance and tax declaration eg GST, income tax
• Liaise with statutory bodies, banks, and other third-party business partners
• Proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvements
• Carry out and assume any other duties or responsibilities

The Successful Applicant

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required due to regular communication with Mandarin-speaking counterparts daily
• Minimum 3 years of experience in book keeping and have knowledge on financial statements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel skills
• Conscientious and meticulous, good organisational skills, independent
• Familiar with IFRS and Singapore tax regulations for reporting matters
