Position Overview: we are looking for an experienced structural engineer to lead the team in charge of structural analyses activities for the loadout, transportation and installation of offshore platforms (jacket, topside) for our various clients (EPIC Contractors, Offshore Installation Contractors, Oil Majors) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural analysis and design of offshore platforms, jackets, and associated systems. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as SACS, STAAD PRO, ABAQUS, ANSYS, and FEMAP is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Structural Engineers, providing technical guidance and support in transportation and installation engineering.
• Structural Integrity Studies: Perform and supervise structural integrity studies for offshore structures during pre-service, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant standards.
• Transportation & Seafastening Design: Design and analyze grillage & seafastening arrangements for transportation of structures (jacket/piles/topsides), ensuring structural integrity during transit and compliance with specifications and standards.
• Installation Engineering: Conduct lifting analyses, rigging calculations, lifting point local checks, barge outfitting design, piles driveability assessments, and miscellaneous installation aids design.
• Decommissioning Projects: Participate in the engineering analysis and design for decommissioning activities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Project Management: Develop Cost-Time Resource (CTR) estimates and Master Deliverables Register (MDR); furnish progress reports to project management, highlighting concerns and recommendations.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize software tools such as SACS, STAAD PRO, ABAQUS, ANSYS, and FEMAP for structural analysis and design tasks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including marine, mechanical, and project engineers, to ensure integrated project execution.
• Documentation: Write and review engineering reports, specifications, drawings and installation procedures, ensuring clarity and accuracy
• Quality Assurance: Conduct peer reviews of engineering deliverables to ensure high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Client and Surveyor Interaction: Coordinate with Clients and Marine Warranty Surveyors to achieve deliverables approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Tender and Bids Preparation: Prepare tender and bid studies, including fleet suitability checks, basic procedures, MTO estimations and installation method statements.
• Operational Support: Provide support during yard loadout and offshore operations as required by clients, ensuring smooth execution of activities.
• Business Unit Support: Assist the Business Unit Manager as needed, contributing to strategic planning and project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on offshore platforms and jacket structures.
• Strong understanding of offshore engineering principles, including seafastening and transportation design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing engineering teams.

The successful candidate will ensure effective collaboration with contractors, manage project costs and schedules, and implement quality management practices.

Responsibilities

• Play an active business partner role in engaging the employees and line managers in ensuring that employee needs and queries are looked into frequently
• Responsible for day-to-day HR operations for the business entity assigned which includes but is not limited to Employee Orientation, employee queries, leave, benefits, claims, work pass renewals, staff confirmation, performance management, exit interviews and clearance, etc
• Work closely with the HR Manager to ensure that HR and employee information are provided timely and accurately
• Assist with the preparation of the Orientation pack materials and ensure that all Orientation information is accurate and updated timely
• Obtain all relevant and required personnel information from new and existing employees and ensure that personnel information in the HR system is updated and accurate. Create and main the p-file of all assigned employees under one’s care
• Responsible for the announcement and coordination with the relevant dept on the logistic arrangement for the new staff, etc
• Update and maintain useful HR info databases (Headcount/Manpower related, personnel profiles, etc)
• Provide accurate HR reports on a timely basis to the respective personnel
• Maintain an effective and user-friendly document control and filing system for the dept
• Participate in continuous improvement of HR work processes and create SOPs and documentation
• Provide support to junior members/other team members as and when required
• Support in all ad-hoc and HR projects and activities as required

Requirements
