Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to PaxOcean operations
- Advise a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters / projects
- Liaise with external lawyers where required
- Draft, review and negotiate legal and transactional documentation such as newbuilding contracts, conversion contracts, repair contracts, recycling and module fabrication contracts, joint venture agreements, leases, vendor and commercial contracts
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters
- Apply and maintain relevant licences where required.
- Co-ordinate with the corporate secretarial team on matters such as preparation of board papers, resolutions
Job requirements
- Law degree from a reputable university, with 8-12 years PQE
- Qualified to practise law in Singapore
- Experience in shipyards, maritime, engineering, procurement, fabrication, tax, employment and labor law, real estate, intellectual property, commercial and corporate law
- Experience in compliance, e.g. anti-corruption, environmental regulations, permits and licences
- Able to work independently and overseas experience a plus.
