Duties & Responsibilities:

• Report and provide assistance to QAQC Engineer & Senior Inspector
• Inspection of the completed tunnel precast elements
• Keeping of Quality Control (QC) records at all stages of the segmental tunnelling lining production
• Testing and examining the materials used
• Checking on the workmanship of the manufacturer in connection with the tunnel precast elements production
• Inspect and checking of defects of production phase of tunnel precast elements and provide finding and recommendation on remedial measures to mitigate the defects

Requirements:

• A Civil Engineering Diploma recognized by the Professional Engineer (PE) Board, Singapore, or its equivalent as accepted by the OIC
• Min. 3 years of relevant experience in the inspection and quality control monitoring of high quality, mass produced precast concrete products
• Will be stationed full time at precast yard.
• Require valid RTO Certification

• Ensure that good safety and high quality of work are being carried out by the Contractor in compliance with the statutory requirements
• To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with the Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To assist SRE in the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)
• To assist SRE in administrative control on the site staff, instil and maintain discipline, and punctuality, keep daily records of staff attendance, and other matters concerning the site staff administrative matters.
• To oversee all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting records.
• To provide full support and assistance, as and when directed by the SRE or client
• To check and assess temporary works by the Contractor to ensure that the works are safe and in compliance with all relevant Regulations.
• To ensure that the Contractor’s working procedure complies with the agreed method statement and relevant workplace safety and health regulations and to direct modification to the procedure, if necessary, to comply with the agreed method and safety and health regulations.
• To oversee Tunnelling works
• Any other Adhoc tasks are given by management

Requirements:

• Min 4 years of civil engineering experience
• Min 2 years of experience in various tunneling works
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Accredited as a RE with a valid 2022/2023 IES certificate
• Accredited as a RE(Tunnel) with a valid 2022/2023 IES certificate
• comfortable with 56 hour work week

• Ensure efficient Civil & Structural and Geotechnical design is achieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards
• Liaise with internal and external parties on all civil & structural and geotechnical design matters and advises the Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) / Senior Design Engineer (SDE) regularly
• Co-ordinate the review of Contractor's civil & structural and Geotechnical submission and assists the SRE/SDE in conveying a timely response to the contractor
• Identify and resolve potential design related issues during construction phase
• Carry out any other duties as required by the Authority's Project management team, including attending technical meetings and discussions, preparation of minutes of technical meetings and to provide technical meetings and technical support as required in the evaluations of Contractor's claifications.
• Ensure that the design intent is translated to construction on site by means of correct drawings and specifications

Requirement

• Minimum Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant design management/coordination experience on projects similar in nature to the Works in the civil contract including design experience in geotechnical works for deep excavation foundation works
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/Senior Project Manager (SPM)/Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on-site quality and safety issues
• Determine any non-conformances on works
• Liaise with the Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly
• Ensure that decisions on-site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable timeframe
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggests quality improvement measures for implementation on site
• Supervise the installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site
• Supervise the installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation

• Assist in the operating of the PMCC

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Civil & Structural engineering
• Min 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover or cut and cover tunnel experience in a project/construction environment
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work
• Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills
• Experience in civil/structural/geotechnical design will be an advantage.

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings
• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities
• Supervise all civil, structural and geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary
• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work
• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures
• To coordinate the contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc for the works
• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structure, formwork support systems etc
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters
• To supervise the installation of instrumentation
• To supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc
• To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations
• To review Contractor's design and supervise all works

Criteria:

- Min 3 years of experience in Cut & Cover tunnelling or supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.

- Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering

- Possess a valid RTO cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore

- Possess a valid RTO (Tunnel) cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore
