The role of the Counsellor will include but not limited to HOPE mentoring, intake and consultation, counselling and casework, programme development, training and consultancy.

You are responsible for managing cases independently, develop and implement intervention plans according to professional judgement and knowledge. You are to be familiar with community and institutional settings and able to establish relationships with key stakeholders to work across multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage assigned cases and conduct regular follow-ups, assessments, and employability action plans.
· Provide 1-on-1 motivational counselling, facilitate support groups, and refer families to community services.
· Submit progress and assessment reports to MSF as required.
· Provide intake, consultation, and crisis intervention services based on REACH guidelines.
· Maintain an active caseload, perform clinical assessments, and collaborate with related agencies on case management.
· Ensure timely case updates, supervision, and proper case terminations.
· Develop and lead preventive programs, network with community stakeholders, and manage program budgets.
· Oversee program documentation, evaluation, and volunteer coordination.
· Participate in regular supervision and provide peer supervision to junior staff and interns if needed.
· Maintain client databases, submit reports, and complete standard forms and templates for MSF.
· Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, including committee work and agency initiatives.
Requirements:
· Possess at least a Degree in Counselling Work
· A Graduate Diploma in Couple and Family Therapy will be an added advantage
· Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in motivational, marital and couple counselling
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to manage the assigned number of caseload
· Has a strong passion in reaching out and making a difference in the lives of the needy
· Self-motivated team player with a passion to see individuals and families restored to wholeness
