Our client, a reputable International School is seeking an energetic Teacher who is responsible to carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school’s Principal. The school envisioned to be the leading educational institution where each and every learner is developed holistically and given opportunities to flourish successfully.
We invite qualified and experienced candidates to join us as TEACHERS for our Primary and Secondary level
- Science Teacher (Temporary from 12 Aug to 13 Dec 2024, maternity cover)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school’s Principal.
- To conduct assessment, recording and reporting on the work of students and attending Parents’ Meetings to meet parents and discuss the progress of individual students
- To set appropriate individual student targets in line with the school and departmental targets/policy
- To undertake appropriate training including INSET days at the start of each term
- Promoting and participating in your own continuous professional development:
- To be involved in Co or Extra Curricular Activities and school event days
- To undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Education/ Teaching or equivalent, recognized by the CPE/MOE in Singapore
- Higher degree or recognized professional qualification (preferred) Evidence of continued relevant professional development
- PGDE and/or PGCE is preferable. Preferably a Teacher’s Licence (NIE certification)
- 3- 5 years of teaching experience in a similar or related environment
- Demonstrate an acute and deep understanding of a primary/ secondary school curriculum
- Teaching or pedagogical skills
- Passion for developing young learners
