Key Responsibilities:

1. Transactional Support:Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of contracts related to real estate transactions, including sale and purchase agreements, leases, tenancy agreements, and other property-related documentation.
   Conduct due diligence, including title searches, land registry checks, and verification of ownership details.
   
2. Advisory Work:Provide legal advice on property-related matters, including land acquisitions, property development, zoning laws, and compliance with local regulations.
   Advise clients on financing arrangements, including mortgages and other security instruments.
   
3. Litigation and Dispute Resolution:Support the litigation team in property disputes, such as tenancy disputes, boundary disagreements, and breaches of contract.
   Liaise with external counsel and assist in arbitration or mediation proceedings, if required.
   
4. Client Relationship Management:Maintain and build strong relationships with clients by providing proactive and professional legal support.
   Attend client meetings and site visits as necessary to address specific property-related issues.

   Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes impacting real estate.
   
6. General Responsibilities:Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm for multi-disciplinary transactions.
   Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential clients and preparing proposals.
   Mentor and supervise junior team members or trainees, if applicable.
   

Requirements:

Partner (Capital Markets)

The Partner undertakes fee-earning work and provides a profitable contribution to the work of the Capital Markets practice. He/She also undertakes management responsibilities and business development activity to ensure the successful development of the Firm in line with its business plan.

Key responsibilities:

Fee-earning responsibilities:

• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all Firm and client documentation and information.
• Maintain high standards in the processing of client work, both in respect of professional standards and client care.
• Maintain good professional working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
• Adhere to the agreed Firm procedures as determined from time to time.
• Achieve agreed financial targets, both in respect of fee income and the recording of chargeable hours.
• Provide advice, guidance and thorough supervision to subordinate fee-earners and support staff within an area of responsibility delegated to the partner.
• Develop leadership skills and the ability to optimise team performance.
• Keep fully up to date with relevant legislation and Firm through training and other means.
• Monitor and help develop systems and procedures within the partner’s work area, including the use of technology.
• Market the Firm’s client services.
• Assist in the development of new products and service opportunities.

Administrative responsibilities:

• Undertake compliance with and to be fully aware of all aspects of requirements imposed on a Partner by statutory and Law Society rules and regulations.

• Experience in equity capital markets is essential
• Experience in debt capital markets is an added advantage
• Proficient in accounting & finance preferred

Responsibilities

• To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously, and the client is kept regularly informed on progress and costs.

• To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
• To build good working relationships with both internal personnel & external clients.
• To guide, lead and develop immediate support staff.
• In conjunction with the Firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
