Responsibilities
* able to read measurements to plan layout and procedures
* Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements·
* Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
* Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
* Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
* Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
* Suvervise to components by welding pieces and filling gaps
* Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
* Co-ordinate with fitter and supervisor for job instruction.
Requirements
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting material with loads of up to 25 kgs)
- Willingness to work overtime
- Able to read or understand design drawings.
- Minimum 5 Years relevant working experiences
- Carpentry and renovation experience a plus
- Positive attitude to work as a team
- Able to work under tight schedule environment
