The Visualization and Refractive Specialist is responsible to drive the sales, market shares, adoption and growth of Alcon Surgical Visualization and Refractive portfolios within an assigned geographic area and customer accounts to meet or exceed the sales target.
This role will be responsible for (AVS) Argos, Ngenuity, Revalia and Refractive equipment & accessories portfolios.
- Responsible for the sales, market share, adoption and growth of the Visualization and Refractive portfolios
- Responsible for the demonstration of the visualization and refractive products to the customers
- Effective Sales penetration of targeted accounts through supporting the doctors in the Operating Theatre and follow up in the clinics (if necessary)
- Collaborate with CAS to provide clinical and training support to customers
- Establish and develop strong customer rapport to achieve growth and acceptance of Alcon’s surgical products
- Effectively communicate to customers the benefits to patients of the utilization of Alcon’s surgical products in order to drive and facilitate increased sales, market share and adoption
- Gain accounts commitment through effective marketing practices – e.g. holding practice development workshops for doctors/HCP; evaluating and follow up on post marketing effort
- Maintain a high level of product and technical knowledge
- Submit daily activity report utilizing Sales Force and Pitcher with contents
- Participate in trade exhibitions, official functions, congresses, seminars and other marketing events as required
Education:
Minimum:
• Diploma in Medical Technology & Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Optometry or related field. Other diploma background may be considered based on relevant experience to the role.
Preferred:
• University Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Optometry or related field. Other education background may be considered based on relevant experiences to the role.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, sales experience in Medical device industry is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of clinical application experience, preferably in cataract and femtosecond Laser refractive surgery
Preferred experience in: OR;Demonstrated experience working with Microscope, 3D visualization in a hospital environment
Understanding of clinical education training and associated process implementation
Demonstrated experience delivering complex information and modifying messaging based on audience
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to liaise with staff at all levels in an effective and efficient manner
Able to work independently as well as a team in promoting Company’s products
Possess positive attitude and goal oriented
Has good business acumen
