We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Embalmer with experience to join me as part of a team. As an Embalmer you will play a critical role in providing dignified and respectful care for deceased individuals and supporting grieving families throughout the funeral process. Your expertise in embalming techniques and your empathetic nature will contribute to creating meaningful and healing experiences for our clients.
Main Responsibilities as a Embalmer :
- Embalming: Perform embalming procedures with the utmost care, skill, and attention to detail, ensuring the preservation and restoration of the deceased's appearance.
- Cosmetology and Restoration: Techinque of applying cosmetics makeup, hairstyling, and other techniques to enhance the natural appearance of the deceased, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Body Preparation: Conduct thorough washing, dressing, casketing, and positioning of bodies, ensuring compliance with legal, religious and cultural requirements.
- Documentation and Legal Compliance: Complete all necessary paperwork, tagging of deceased bodies, verifying death certificates, cremation / burial permits, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of embalming facilities, equipment, and supplies, adhering to occupational health and safety standards.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices through continuing education and training opportunities.
Requirements:
- Embalming Certification: Possess a valid embalming license/certification.
- A Valid Basic Infection Control Course for Handling Bodies with Infectious Diseases from NCID
- Funeral Industry Experience: Proven experience as an Embalmer, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of embalming techniques and industry regulations.
- Compassion and Empathy: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, showing empathy and sensitivity when working with grieving families and friends.
- Attention to Detail: Display meticulous attention to detail in embalming procedures, cosmetic application, and ensure a high level of quality and satisfaction.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with families, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Organization and Time Management: Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet timeline.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor, displaying integrity, confidentiality, and respect in all interactions.
- Physical Stamina: Have the physical stamina and dexterity to handle deceased individuals, able to lift heavy weight, and perform embalming procedures.
- Legal and Ethical Compliance: Uphold ethical standards and comply with local laws and regulations governing funeral services.
