Responsibilities:
- Establish key performance indicators to ensure safe and efficient operation of the functions and development and management of budgets throughout fiscal year to achieve department goals.
- Responsible for leading team in ensuring Plant operations are running smoothly and in accordance to the Company’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and in compliance to statutory requirements, industry standards and company regulations.
- Lead and implement cost saving and improvement initiatives in the department.
- Plan and monitor Production & Logistics activities to maximize the use of Organization resource and meet targets and established production specification and schedule including volume, cost, wastage target and quality control standard.
- Support Production Planning for Yearly Budget Planning and Monthly Planned Production
- Prepare budget planning activities with Accounting Team.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
- Responsible for monitoring and able to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance.
- Implement timely corrective actions when near misses or non-conformities are detected and ensure all Production members comply with work procedures.
- Liaise with Sale office on monthly production schedule.
- Liaise with Technical department and contractors on project matters.
- Authorize to shut down the plant without management approval in the event that the plant trouble or emergency.
- Plan the department’s organizational progression for succession, competency and development.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, or Engineering
- Min 8 years of chemical plant experience with 5 years of leadership in diverse teams
- Possess strong knowledge of petrochemical processes and polymer science, engineering practices, efficient manufacturing operations from raw materials purchasing to finished goods shipment, and quality improvement process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to work with different levels of stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving/decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
