We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Chinese Tutor to join our language tuition center!

Job Responsibilities:

* Conduct engaging and effective Chinese lessons Kindergarden to Primary students based on MOE syllabus.

* Be passionate in learning and teaching.

* Love working with children.

* Motivate and inspire students to achieve academic success.

* Mark students’ work.

* Entry level with little experience are welcome to apply too.

* We provide lesson materials and training.

Requirements:

*At least 1 year of teaching experience preferred.

* Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Chinese curriculum.

* Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin.

* Patient, responsible and able to connect well with students.

Working Hours:

* Flexible part-time schedule, including Weekdays afternoon or Weekend.

• Handle Administrative work
• Classroom management
• Assist to coach and guide school homework to primary school children
• Assist to handle routine of the children and ensure their holistic wellbeing
• Conduct in-house enrichment classes and ensure lesson plans are delivered
• Answering to telephone calls, emails, and walk-in customers
• Marking of assessment worksheets
• Interact with and engage children during group activities
• Handle administrative matters to support enrolments and centre operations
• Other duties at front counter
• Other operations and administrative duties as required

Teacher Requirements:

• Degree-level qualifications, preferably in Teaching/Education/Early Childhood/Studies/English/English Literature
• Diploma-level qualifications must be in a relevant field such as Teaching/Education/Early Childhood Studies/English Language/English Literature
• English speaker with a universally recognisable accent and a strong command of the English Language
• Preferably at least five years of related teaching experience, or similar
• An enthusiasm for teaching young children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to write and prepare English Phonics curriculum for K2 to Primary 6
• Handle student care from Monday to Friday and morning student care from 7am during school holidays
• must be able to work on both weekends and weekday evenings

Teacher Responsibilities:

• Working with children between the ages of 3 to 12 years old
• Teaching reading, comprehension skills and pre-reading skills to children
• Lesson preparation and marking, including the preparation of appropriate teaching resources and participating in teacher and curriculum meetings on a weekly basis.
• Maintaining regular open communication with parents, through informal, formal and provide regular updates to parents on students’ performance and progression.
• Conducting ad hoc replacement lessons and one-to-one lessons
• Helping children develop social skills and positive classroom behaviour
• Creating a conducive learning environment for students, safeguarding their wellbeing at all times.
• Ability to express themselves clearly in standard English in order to be able to role model and teach young learners the correct sounds/pronunciation.
• Love and enjoy working with children
• Any other ad-hoc duties.
