Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Accountant plays an integral role in Finance Division and will be responsible for leading a team in invoice to pay activities, support Manager in the end to end Procure-to-Pay improvements initiatives and ensure they align with company-wide transformation initiatives and Finance Division roadmap.
Responsibilities
1. Team lead and manage end to end Accounts Payable function
2. Review and approve invoices or journals for payment processing
3. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
4. Review vendor reconciliation
5. Prepare analysis for monthly updates of team’s performance to CFO
6. Prepare monthly reports such as AP ageing, GRIR etc
7. Handle month end & yearend closing activities such as accruals, adjustments, recharge
8. Handle withholding Tax filing
9. Correspond with external vendors on their enquiries and assist in vendor dispute resolution
10. Liaise with internal / external auditors for matters pertaining to Accounts Payable
11. Identify, initiate and lead Procure-to-Pay improvement initiatives to enhance business productivity and ensure it align with company-wide transformation, digitalization and automation initiatives and Finance Division roadmap
12. Undertake any other ad-hoc initiatives or tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
1. Degree in Accounting, ACCA or related field
2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, leading teams and leading improvement initiatives
3. Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC 6.0 or Tableau will be an advantage
4. Knowledge of general accounting procedures and financial reporting will be a plus
5. Good communications and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to meet deadlines
7. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced and high transactional volume environment or ambiguous situations
