JOB SUMMARY
Staff nurse plays a central role in providing nursing care to residents in nursing home. He/She will support the Nurse Managers & Director (Nursing) in daily operations of the Ward, be responsible for providing nursing care and management to residents.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervising and monitoring the care, welfare and well-being of residents
- Handling the daily nursing operations of the ward and implementing nursing requirements and regulations
- Providing feedback and suggestions on the needs of the residents and for service improvement
- Planning and implementing new services, programmes and activities
- Recording, safe-keeping and administration of medication and subcutaneous injections
- Assisting doctors during ward rounds and following-up on recommended changes
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Possess a valid Practicing Certificate from Singapore Nursing Board
- Candidates with clinical experience in paediatrics ward are welcomed to apply
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to motivate, lead and supervise junior staff
- Proactive and supportive in carrying out new initiatives
