Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Optical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for optical components and systems. The ideal candidate will have 3 years background in optical engineering, manufacturing techniques, and quality control processes, ensuring the production of high-precision optical products. Fresh graduates with mechanical engineering .are encourage to apply too, we will provide training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Development and Optimization:
   • Design and implement manufacturing processes for optical components, including lenses, mirrors, prisms, and coatings.
   • Optimize fabrication methods such as grinding, polishing, coating, and assembly to improve efficiency and precision.
2. Production Support:
   • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
   • Ensure that all production processes meet quality and performance specifications.
3. Equipment and Technology Management:
   • Specify, procure, and maintain manufacturing equipment for optical production.
   • Develop and implement advanced technologies, such as automated systems and CNC machines, to enhance production capabilities.
4. Quality Assurance:
   • Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, MIL-PRF-13830).
   • Perform inspections, measurements, and testing of optical components using interferometers, profilometers, and other metrology tools.
5. Design Collaboration:
   • Work closely with optical designers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
   • Provide feedback on design adjustments for optimal production results.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and technical reports.
   • Analyze production data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
7. Continuous Improvement:
   • Lead initiatives to enhance product yield, reduce costs, and improve cycle times.
   • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in optical manufacturing and incorporate them into the production process.
8. Documentation:
   • responsible to create, review and maintain customer’s and Company’s technical drawings as well as Part Number Creation/Maintenance. Very similar to product engineering tasks and roles, but listed as Quality Assurance to control the Company’s standard
9. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
