GL Accounts Executive for Singapore is responsible for the full set accounting system and liaise closely with Finance Controller and report operationally to the Regional Manager and Operations Manager in Singapore.
- To provide a pro-active and efficient Accounts service to the local office.
- Adherence to and application of the Monthly Reporting Timetable, Finance Manual and Company Policies.
- Ensuring effective, comprehensive communication to Finance Controller so that effective management and control from a financial perspective in the Singapore Office can be maintained.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis reporting in coordination with Operations Manager & Regional Manager.
- Preparing, collating and reviewing reporting information required for the monthly management accounts. This will include assisting local engineering resource with their month end process.
- Monitoring of WIP and working with the Engineers to minimise WIP at month end.
- Ensuring that all expenditure is approved in accordance with Financial Authority Matrix.
- Acting as Focal Point on any Customer or Supplier queries for the finance function ensuring Company Policies are adhered to and the Commercial Department at Head Office is updated as appropriate.
- Liaise with the Treasury Accountants at Head Office to ensure cash flow compliance and reporting for the region. Management of company cash-flow activities, payment of suppliers, all internal and external bank transfers and monthly bank reconciliation.
- Supervise the Singapore Accounts Assistant ensuring that the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger are being maintained accurately and reconciled.
- Preparing for and taking part in periodic Debt & Unbilled Sales conference call with Head Office.
- Monitoring and action of Debtor Ageing to ensure prompt settlement of issued invoices.
- Monitoring & Reporting of Capital Expenditure and Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
- Monthly Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Liaising with Company’s tax Agents and Head Office to provide information necessary for Company Tax calculation and to ensure that Head Office is fully aware of tax issues.
- Liaising with Company’s Auditors and Head Office as required to assist with the timely completion of the Statutory Audit and to ensure that Head Office can continually monitor the audit.
- Any additional duties assigned as required.
