SPH Media’s Content Lab is looking for an exceptional talent to join our award-winning content marketing team as Senior Video Producer. This role manages, facilitates and creates innovative and effective branded content across SPH Media platforms, Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook and more.

The right person for this role has a passion for telling visual stories with heart, innovation and charm. You are responsible for driving all stages of the content marketing video process, from concept and scripting, to managing production and post-production. Content Lab’s video output exists in a range of genres and formats, including documentary-style films, motion graphic videos, explainers, animation and creative short stories. Our client list is diverse, and so is our content.

The role requires a strong sense of experimentation, adventure and playfulness. You must be an experienced idea generator who is passionate about developing stories that resonate with audiences – always with an eye on the larger goals of the content campaign and how each video impacts the intended KPIs. You are skilled at writing and shaping narrative arcs both on paper and in the edit room, and have experience revising scripts and reviewing edits.

Content Lab works with an army of freelancers to bring our concepts to life – you and a team of producers run the show, on time and on budget. About the Role

The Technical Officer (SPH Radio) supports the SPH Radio Department in providing technical support on audio and radio broadcast equipment, ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Radio programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitoring of Radio programs and performance of broadcast equipment, report hiccups immediately with urgency
• Assist and ensure smooth running of daily operation, report abnormalities promptly
• Provide support and troubleshoot for broadcast and IT equipment in the studio area
• Check and ensure daily logs are recorded accurately and timely, highlight abnormalities
• Carry out preventive & corrective maintenance on broadcast and IT equipment
• Assist the Broadcast Support Engineer with outdoor broadcast line check and audio monitoring
• Must react promptly to SOP activations for broadcasting from designated parties

Requirements

• ITE or Diploma, preferably in Electronics/Electrical Engineering/ Information Technology
• Experience working within an MCR, broadcast transmission systems, digital audio platforms and related technologies.
• Good knowledge of networking/audio systems
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, punctuality is a must
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and being a team player
• Willing to perform shift work
• Ability to work under pressure
• Candidates without relevant experience and are willing to work on shifts are also encouraged to apply as training will be provided

Key responsibilities include:

• Create visual content across Chinese print and digital platforms to communicate an idea/story
• Perform light copywriting and storytelling using various visuals
• Brainstorm ideas, conceptualise and propose illustrations and infographics for the newsroom

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in relevant fields; candidates with 1-2 years of relevant job experience preferred
• Flair for creativity; Proficient in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, as this is for a Chinese publication
• Skilled in design software (ie: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) and digital illustration software (e.g Procreate); Knowledge in motion graphics (AfterEffects) would be advantageous
• Able to work independently, and has strong communication skills

You will need to be highly organised and creative to make it in the world of radio production.

Radio producers are responsible for the audio content of broadcasts via radio, the internet and other mobile platforms. He/she is involved in the entire process, from generating ideas to managing the audience response after a programme.

As a producer you'll manage and work with other producers, show anchors, engineers, socials network team, sales and tech staff. You'll make sure that shows run as planned and that they are tailored to key audience demographics. You may also be involved in the coordination of a sponsored segment or programme.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities vary depending on the time belt, and producers may sometimes take on the role of presenters.

In general, tasks include:

• generating and researching ideas for programmes and pitching for commissions
• sourcing potential contributors and interviewees
• writing and reading financial news bulletins
• attending and contributing to pre-show and post-show briefings
• undertake editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessary
