Job Summary:
The Program Executive (Psychosocial) will play a vital role in enhancing the psychosocial well-being of residents by coordinating and implementing programs and activities that promote social engagement, social support, and community involvement. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with external partners, internal stakeholders and a commitment to evaluating and improving psychosocial services.
Job Description
Program Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and coordinate psychosocial programs and social activities that address the needs of residents and promote social engagement.
- Collaborate with the Medical Social Worker (MSW) to identify community needs and tailor programs accordingly.
- Work with external partners, internal stakeholders including community organizations and healthcare providers, to implement joint programs and activities that enhance resident support.
Conduct Program Evaluation:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of psychosocial programs through data collection, resident feedback, and outcome assessments.
- Prepare and present reports on program performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize evaluation findings to inform future program development and enhance service delivery.
Volunteer Management:
- Partner with the engagement team to outreach and recruit volunteers
- Train and supervise volunteers to assist with psychosocial programs and activities.
- Develop volunteer training materials and ensure volunteers are equipped to provide support to residents effectively.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and engaged in their roles.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer involvement in service delivery, providing feedback to improve processes and outcomes.
Facilitate Social Activities:
- Organize and facilitate social activities that promote engagement, social skills development, enhance social skills, and emotional well-being among residents.
- Encourage resident participation in social events and activities, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.
Collaboration and Networking:
- Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to support residents' psychosocial needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with the MSW and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
- Advocate for residents’ needs within the community and assist them in accessing resources and services.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of program activities, volunteer participation, and resident interactions in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and best practices in program implementation and psychosocial support.
Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and relevant certifications.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in psychosocial support and program coordination.
Qualifications:
- Min. Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant experience in program coordination, psychosocial support, or community engagement.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, volunteers, and community partners.
- Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.
