The Department Manager for Integrated Information Technology Systems plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the integrated IT services and operations to our customers in the Defence sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of IT solutions, infrastructure management, and support services to meet the needs of the company and our customers.

• Orders and Revenues Management: The department manager is responsible for supervising the attainment of crucial KPIs related to orders and revenues within the department. This involves overseeing sales, monitoring orders, ensuring prompt invoicing, and effectively managing revenue streams to align with departmental and divisional objectives.
• Source for New Business: The department manager will be tasked with identifying and pursuing opportunities for new business or revenue streams. This may involve market research, networking, prospecting, and developing strategies to attract new customers or expansion of current businesses.
• Manage Staff Well-Being and Trainings: Responsible for the well-being, development, and performance of their staff. This includes providing support, coaching, and feedback to employees, as well as organizing training and development programs to enhance their skills and competencies.

The candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. He/she should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Wintel and Linux server environments.
• Conduct server hardening for both Windows and Linux systems.
• Lead and collaborate with the teams to implement and oversee server hardware, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions to ensure availability and scalability.
• Lead virtualization initiatives using industry-standard platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Optimize virtualization environments for efficiency, performance, and resource utilization.
• Design and manage Storage Area Networks (SAN/NAS) and backup solution, ensuring data availability, integrity, and optimal performance.
• Implement and administer storage solutions, including storage provisioning, zoning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement security best practices for infrastructure components and virtualized environments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to infrastructure and data storage.
• Manage and remediate the VA and PT findings and GITSIR
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to optimize IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the IT infrastructure.
• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
• Familiar with network and backup devices (switches, routers, etc.)
• Maintain complete technical documentation.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Computer Science / Information Systems / Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering with a focus on Windows Server and/or Linux Server administration.
• Backup Implementation Experience with Dell EMC is a plus.
• Proven experience in designing on-prem data center architectures.
• Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Servers and/or Linux environments.
• Solid background in network administration and architecture.
• Professional network certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP) and cloud certification is a plus.
