Introduction:
A renowned Japanese restaurant with a coveted 2-year waitlist in Japan is bringing its exceptional woodfire yakitori to Singapore in partnership with Ebb & Flow Group. Located within the luxurious Mondrian Hotel, our new location opening in November 2024 will offer an elevated dining experience that marries traditional techniques with a sophisticated atmosphere.
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operations of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service. This candidate will play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our guest while leading and motivating our service staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, as well as the service team members in the bar and floor
- Provide leadership and clear direction for the service team to ensure smooth restaurant operation by training, guiding and providing assistance when needed
- Maintain trust and support with team members at all levels to promote a positive work culture, promptly resolving any potential conflicts within the team
- Develop plans to source potential business and collaboration opportunities that improves guest experience and drive sales
- Assist in setting quantitative and qualitative goals for the restaurant to achieve targets
- Collaborating with the management and HQ teams to develop the brand and business
- Closely coordinate with the culinary team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Champion health and safety standards within the restaurant, ensuring that operations are in compliance with all relevant regulations
Qualifications:
- Experience in pre-opening operations is a bonus
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Strong business and people acumen including strategic planning, operation management, talent management
- Consistent track record of employment in hospitality-related leadership role
