Job Summary
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing pre- and post- contract administration and costs of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity measurement, costing and estimation for both pre- and post- contract administation
- Check and ensure terms and conditions of project contracts such as Letters of Acceptance and Letters of Intent are in order and acceptable before confirmation
- Prepare budgetary list of awarded projects, source and obtain quotations from suppliers
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and award supply contracts to suppliers
- Prepare evaluation and certification of sub-contractors' progress payments
- Prepare and follow up on monthly progress claims
- Prepare costing and submit quotations to clients for Variation Order (VO) items
- Liaise with main contractor on payments and VO confirmations
- Prepare Final Account(s) for completed projects and obtain management's approval
- Follow up with clients on final payments and release of retentions
- Liaise with main contractor on performance bonds
- Prepare monthly report of payment collection forecast and estimation of payments to sub-contractors
- Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Building/Civil/Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
- 2 to 3 years' related work experience in similar capacity, preferably in building/construction industry
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Ability to meet deadlines of multiple projects in fast paced environment
- Attention to details and good knowledge in construction drawings
