Job Overview:

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to serve as a technical liaison between our customers, sales team, and product development group.. The ideal candidate will combine basic maritime knowledge with technical expertise to deliver comprehensive simulation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Implementation

• Lead technical implementation of marine simulator projects, including bridge simulators, engine room, and GMDSS simulators
• Manage project documentation, including specifications, single line drawings, and technical proposal
• Design and assist to set up system network, visual systems, and control interfaces

Technical Support

• Provide technical support during pre-sales activities, concept development and specification preparation
• Work with sales team and distribution channels to design technical solution based on requirements
• Analyze tender’s requirements and architect simulation solutions that meet customer’s requirements
• Manage project documentation, including specifications, single line drawings, and technical proposal

Project Management

• Lead simulator installation projects from initial planning to final commissioning
• Coordinate with hardware suppliers, software teams, and installation contractors
• Manage project timelines and deliverables
• Document technical specifications and installation procedures

Testing Facility Management

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of in-house simulators testing facility
• Test updated configurations as per product releases
• Create and execute test scenarios for new software releases and hardware configurations
• Document test results and prepare bugs reports
• Coordinate facility usage schedule between testing and customer demonstrations

Asset and License Management

• Maintain comprehensive inventory of simulator hardware components and spare parts
• Track and manage software licenses for all simulator installations (both internal and customer sites)
• Oversee license renewal processes and maintain licensing documentation
• Implement version control procedures for software components and custom modifications
• Monitor and report stock hardware inventory and replacement needs

Technical Documentation

• Maintain library of technical documentation
• Create detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams
• Manage documentation for internal testing procedures and quality assurance
• Maintain up-to-date hardware and software inventory documentation
